yesterday and i think it's going to be the main questions in this campaign leading up to thep to e election in november is, how how would he govern? would he govern as the guy we'vy come to know, ken cuccinelli, you know, the champion of the right, the guy who goes after the environmental protectionon agency, the guy who has been very strong against gay, you know gay marriage, very strong t on abortion on women's issues iu from a conservative point of view, or he is he going to be go more of a sort of traditionalist, i guess youlists would say govern, he he be a more traditional kind of of governor focusing on the kind of issues and bleed and butter stuff. >> the selection of this minister ew jackson as the you lieutenant governor candidate.

of t whe state, from the shenandoah valley and southwest, west virginia. he is going to be a gnat pick ae democrats because of some of the stuff he said in the past. he said that gays are sick and perverted. he said that planned parent hood, which of course, provides abortion services among other things has been worst for african-americans than the ku klux klan. he is not backing down, at least so far from any of these positions. and he has no experience in office, and that actually is in some ways hurts the republicansu because some of the criticisms on the democratic side is terryr mcauliff is that he has no experience in elected office. their lieutenant governor ew jackson has no experience in elected office.elec that hurts their story a little bit.

to my first question we're still enthralled with even the old series, too, but the future and what that holds. what got you interested your self in writing trek-nology. >> i write for wired and pop por science. i was a huge fan when i was little. you are talking about the new -- not the 60s, right? >> the next generation. that's where i started and deep space nine. i watched the original series ar i was writing the book. >> right. that led to you -- you said, hey, we use that now. >> you see things like they use ipads, they called them pads, i think. we call them ipads. i think everyone thinks abouts a the smartphones for flip phones, right? the old communicator that kirk and spok used look exactly likek that. >> interesting.nt we pulled some clips from the old show to sort of i think the
